Wood has a timeless appeal, one steeped in the mystery and traditions of the past. At the GR Plume Company, we endeavor to honor the beauty of natural materials while exploring the limits of their potential, respecting the past while forging the future.

One of the more difficult obstacles to overcome in heavy timber design and construction is the effective communication between client and manufacturer when discussing the “appearance” of wood. At GR Plume we work hard to clearly articulate our understanding of the design parameters of the project so we can meet those goals.

We often begin each project as a consultant to the project architect. Then, as a specified timber fabricator, we continue working along-side the contractor until the timber portion of the project is completed.
